site history
the year 2008 marks the tenth year i've had a personal site. it's true! i feel like such an old fart.
before everyone was given a slice of the 'net via journal sites and myspace, it was a feat to have an online presence. i've run the gamut of free sites -- expages, angelfire, geocities, gurlpages, envy.nu . . . you name it, i had it.
my first hosted project was the longest-lived and best-loved incarnation of my personal site: Zipdiskism. it was born at jenno.com in late 2001 then moved to missgeek.net in 2002 where it would stay until 2004. in those three years, Zipdiskism made it through a whopping 14 hand-crafted layouts, with content ranging from a hand-designed photo album and a collection of poetry and prose.
after missgeek vanished, i took up about a year's residence at kamikaze-love.org with a blog i called Wack! it had two layouts the whole time and was mainly a blog (using blogger). the hostess, toni, is still designing pages and can now be found at zipgun.org.
finally, i caved in and bought eating-dynamite.net, a kickass webspace and domain name i thoroughly neglected and abused for three years before skipping out on the renewal bill. i loved it, even though i only put one layout up -- a blog -- and mainly used the domain for file hosting. i miss it. i hate myself for ignoring it.
now i'm here at noobcore.net where my gracious host does naught but upload things to his terrabytes and terrabytes of space. i'm here to make some use of my corner. here's to hoping i don't fall off.
